Has anyone ever replaced thier pwr antenna bezel that resides under the nut on the passenger fender? What tool can be utilized to not damge the nut?

Also, I'm getting ready to replace the dash panel (plastic piece on the dash top which goes accross the top and sits flush against the winshield), has anyone replaced this before?

For the dash panel top it's a tight fit to get it in and out and may require some alignment and persuading don't go overboard when moving and aligning it.

Also make sure you get all the TORX screws out of it indcluding the ones down in the defroster vents, and DON'T drop them down in there unless you have some spares handy. ;)

Be careful when tightening the end ones over the 3.5" speaker holes if you over tighten them and bend it they will crack there just like the original one in no time.

I'd leave those screws out if I ever wanted one that wasn't cracked. Of course there's always a possibility of rattling with that scenario.

I forget exactly how the stock nut works on the antenna my aftermarket one had a nut with two slots in it that right angle needle nose pliers fit in and turned it right off easily so you didn't scratch the nut or the car.

If you get the broken bezel out of the way a decent set of grippy pliers should get the original nut off but getting it back with a new bezel could be a bit challenging. Someone else who's done it recently can help here soon I'm sure.

Make sure you have a right angle wratching wrench of small size and the right sized torx bit for it.

1/4" socket drive or the smaller size may be needed to get in there at the screws.

They are in plastic too so be careful with the threads especially when reinstalling them.
