Easy to install and I backed the waste gate rod down to about 1/8 tension maybe a bit more and with the controller as received .
First test run carefully rolling into throttle watching boost showed 15 psi rock steady. Next run I adjust the controller 3 rounds and boost went to 17 I expected more.. I then adjust the waste gate rod about 3-4 rounds and boost went to 21 psi .i only had about. 3-4 threads left in the controller is why I gave up getting more boost that way. Boost is rock steady where with the stock system I might see a momentary 1 psi over shoot . I see no improvement in spool up then it came I'm quick already with the 2800 rpm stall. I left it at 21 for my first track runs early next month. I was at 23 with the stock system. Overall it works but I don't feel it was worth the $ in my situation at least right now.:(

Amen brother.
Just did the same thing. Not that impressed. An I don't like having to grab that hot Brass to adjust.

I've tried using them on nearly every Tb I have owned and had the same results.... Its all hype in my book. Maybe its because my cars were tuned properly. They just never did anything for me.
SD2 with powerlogger boost control is all I ever need now.

I just installed mine and am pleased with it. It woke up my car a lot. I am just wondering how low did you turn down the boost on the waste gate before you started playing with the boost on the RJC BC? I'm currently running 20lbs. I turned my waist gate down to 15lbs and picked up the other 5lbs on the BC and the car takes off spinning the tires in 1st and 2nd.. my car never did this before?

I followed the instructions and put about 1/8 inch spring tension on the arm. I've added about 4 rounds of spring back in and have about 21 psi and the car feels ok
It's spinning the nittos through first anyway.
I'm not saying it's junk but that part about feeling like it gained 50 hp is well over stated . Maybe if the converter was too tight for the turbo the improvement is greater?

its all about Variables
if the Y was on wrong, cracks on the lines, by passing solenoid the RJC will make a big difference.
On my original set up it made a big difference.

Oh it works fine, but it's not that much better than stock spool up wise IMO . It does seem to control boost creep better I have seen about 1 psi spikes with the stock system at 23 psi but do far at 21 the RJC controller holds steady.
Anyone want to buy a
Nearly new RJC boost controller ?
Lol.. Wondering if the power plate that was on the car when I got it is helping anything now.

The power plate does in fact work. Been proven may times. I have been running them for many years.
The RJC boost controller on the other hand, to me, is not worth it. I have had a couple well "Tuned" cars that I thought I could get extra spool up out of and was disappointed every time. Yes, it controls boost from spiking, but you have other issues if its spiking more than 1psi on the stock unit. Like I said, I was always looking for better spool and it simply dont work on a finely tuned motor.

Debating leaving it on or putting it back stock. I thought this would allow me to fine tune the boost from 22-26 psi since I was close to the limit on the rod length at 23 psi.
Maybe it will give me that extra 2-3 psi and better control I was after and be worth something.
