Royal Purple trans fluid

Does anyone use or recommend going to a full synthetic trans fluid? What are your experiences with it???

I ran it for a while but changed to type F on advice of my trans builder. One I did NOT like about the RP is you cant tell when/if its getting darker due to its color.
