Russell Stainless braided brake lines. Anyone have problems?

I went to bleed my brakes as I just installed a set of these. For some reason, I was getting air on my passenger front line. Every time I had the pedal pushed, air would keep coming through. Then, while bleeding and the pedal releasing, I hear a hissing. The hose where it connects to the caliper was sucking in air when releasing the pedal. I loosened, tightened, loosened, tightened. I kept doing this until finally I found a point where it didnt leak. Im a little worried as to if its safe. Has anyone else had this problem? Also, I just switched to vacuum brakes. Will the brake light still be functional if something happened??? Thanks all!

Copper crush washers can be difficult to seal, especially if you're reusing them.

The low fluid, pressure lose *sensor* is in the combination valve.

IMO, the test drive for brake mods is 20-30 miles, with alot of low speed brake applications. Then let things cool, check the fluid, and if OK, then start driving normally, or really testing the system in some controlled panic type stops.

bruce, copper crush washer? I only use that screw and the hose end. I dont remember mine having one?

thats why they are not sealing,go to any parts place and in the help section their should be some in many sizes.

Look close, they were there.

One on each side of the hose where the Banjo Fitting went thru.

Brass against copper, with a lil dirt can be hard to see.
