A couple too many cylinders for the turbo Buick:

Many thanks to Mike Barnard, SPOOLFOOL2, for taking the pics and the great de-burr job. For as nice of headers as Kooks builds, they're not the greatest in removing the flash and burrs around the flanges.

I do have to admit that it's got to be the nicest rain gutter system I've ever seen.

Will they fit a Caddy? But, yu'll have to smog it in 2014!
Gary, I tested an '11 CTS-V 2-door coup (think r called Black Diamond series?), beautiful auto.
Lotsa power, but...felt very heavy, fine in straights but heavy in slow traffic & turns. Is that the norm? Interested in new car, but not a tank.
Sorry to kinda change subject matter. Thanks.

The recycle bin.

Final answer, Regis!

Many thanks for the props, James.

Yes, they are going on the Caddy.
Black Diamond Series: Yes, Special black paint, charcoal wheels I believe, & maybe yellow or red calipers? Or maybe those are options?
Heavy, felt very heavy. You wuss, you're supposed to turn off all of the granny controls. Push the shifter handle to the right. Now you have optional control of shifting, 1st gear from every start, & decompression.
Push the button on the dash next to the NAV that looks like a microphone or a shock, now you have control in performance handling & suspension, and third, hold the traction control button on the left side of the steering wheel down for about 5 secs or the DIC says Tractional Control disengaged, or something like that, and now you have a pretty nimble rocket. I love mine and have no complaints.
Smog in 2014, I might be dead by then, the republik of Kali might be dead by then, and otherwise I will worry about that then.
I really can't tell you that these cars are as nimble as a C6ZO6, but I can honestly tell you that these are the fastest and quickest sled that you will ever have an opportunity to shoe.
Take a look at CadillacOwners.com.

Too bad Akrapovic doesn't make a system for the Caddy - there would be no need to de-burr.:P Nice system Gary, what are you gonna do with all this new found power??

Ew, I don't know, Frank. I remember when I was kicking around the idea of a Suzuk 1000 GSX-R and Akrapovic had a full exhaust for that bike. They made more RWHP that any other exhaust system on the market, but they were sister ugly. Full of bends & welds, and pricey too, but they did work.

I'm hopefully going to stay out of jail with all of this new found power.
I'm hoping to see about 570 or so RWHP on a honest dyno.

Gary,

The Kooks headers will make a big difference. Hopefully the headers / mids won't ruin the nice quiet Cadillac interior. :D

Neal;
Actually, I hope that you are correct. There's a lot of pro and con on headers on not only those cars, but the C6 vettes also. I think that if you want to go above 600 RWHP and / or RWTQ, you're going to need headers to do it. I'm not too sure how far I want to go on this build. If nothing else, they look great and hooked up to the factory muffs, they sound great too, without too much noise at idle. These cars are great fun. They get a few challenges on the street, too.

Here is their Z06/ZR1 cat-back - I don't know if its sister ugly.:)

I didn't even know that when I was looking into a zuki Litre GSX-R, Frank, that they were making car headers at that time. Maybe I'm thinking about year 2000 or so, don't remember. Those do look good. I imagine that those are pretty pricey. They are nice looking though.

. Now THAT sounds interesting. I've been interested in the -V since introduced, & that Black Diamond looks dangerously sexy (yellow calipers on black car kinda ugly though). I drove it kinda spirited, salesman kept mum about the goodies u mention, I'll try to pry it outa showroom again if not sold already. It is cumfy, sexy & high tec styling inside/out, & lotsa straight line power. Oh, I have a +500 HP '70 442 street/strip car, a nice GN slightly fondled by our beloved sheep hearder, '05 M3, & '04 WRX, so use to power & handling, but that -V is one nice car!
