its been a while since i visited. Been hanging around trying to remember my old user name. Had to restart everything. Im getting ready to sell my typhoon and make my 83 t type my daily driver. Its been sitting for a while. I try and start it everymonth. I get black smoke when i mash down on the throtle. Think the carb needs to be rebuilt. Any sugestions on a good rebuilder. I should be a constant contributer for a long time. You guys have been a great deal of help in the past.

From my own experience both with buying rebuilt one's and having mine rebuilt I think the best route is to rebuild the Carb yourself.

Plenty of places sell the kits (locally and on line) and there are a few books that will tell you how.

Once you strip it let it soak overnight in some dip, clean it up and reassemble. I made some cheap stands out of bolts and nuts from Home Depot.

Welcome Back
