scan master 2 ????????

Howdy, I just picked up an ECM from an 86 olds delta (same ECM as 86/87 TR) and I want to get a scan master 2. Well my first question is, is this a good scan tool? I dont want to by a laptop. Second queston is, who has the best price on them. I know Poston sells threm for 259$ Thanks for the help.
