Scan Master Hook up?

Just bought a scan master with no instructions, and before I start slicing wires and stuff, I wanted to know how to hook it up. It looks easy but just want to make sure. Black is ground i know, one goes to the hook up under the ddash and the other one where? Also do I have to add more wire to these wire to extend them to where i need them hooked up. Can anyone recommend a good ground? and how do you connect the wires, do you have to add any plugs or solder them? I know these questions sound stupid but im reaLLY not sure. Any pics or diagrams anywhere?

There are basically two ways to hook it up....permanent and removable. Three wires....positive power...ground...and ALDL signal. To mount permanent, connect a spade connector to the positive lead and push into a switched power slot on the stock fuse box. For the ground, attach a ring connector and find an existing screw (on metal bracket) and mount there. I used one of the ALDL connector mount screws and it works fine. For the signal, find the green wire and use one of those 3M tap connectors....or strip insulation...and solder...wrap w/ electrical tape.

If you want it removable.....go to Radio shack and get a cig. lighter adapter to hook up your power and ground. For the signal you will need a narrow spade connector.....just plug it into the appropriate slot on your ALDL. This way every thing can be unplugged easily so you can move it to another car if you want.
