scanmaster or knock gauge?

Well now that I got all th gauges I need for now I got a question.I have been watching my scanmaster and most of the time I get zero to minimal knockand most of the time it is between shifts.Well her the last few days I have been turning up the boost and the fuel and trying to get the most oomph with the least amount of knock.Well any way a few timeout of the blue I will get a 4 or a 6 pop up in the retard area of the scanmaster but the knock gauge never gets out of the green.I mean it never gets above the second or third green led.I think it would be scary to think that one would rely on the knock gauge if my scanmaster is showing what you guys consider a "get off the gas "knock level.Tonight I was hammering hard and I was getting a 2,then a 3 and then a 4 while accelerating in third gear and the knock gauge never even lit up one green led light.Is something wrong with thsi gauge or is this normal?which would you trust?

I would probably rely on the SM. But since I'm poor and can't afford to blow a motor, I would lift if either told me I had knock.

I have the opposite problem. Finally got all of the little bugs worked out ????? maybe. The mods to my car have all been done in the last 3 months, and I'm waiting on a chip by Jim Testa. I had bought a Conleys chip about 8 yrs. ago for a near stock setup. Car ran really rich when I fired it up with new mods, O2s would go up to 860's. I called Conleys and they said return chip and they would send me 1 for #50 inj. thats what I got in there now, long story short!!! My knock gage lights up but my scanmaster doesn't show any kr.reading. I got knock gettin in to it in 2nd gear at about 14lbs. of boost, car really got movin. Noticed it really pulled a lot harder than it did before, brought a SMILE to my face, girlfriend looked at me lik I was nuts. Knock lights went into the yellow, got into it again boost went up to 15lbs. knock lights went it to the red, so I got off the gas real quick. So I figured if you guys can figure out his problem you can help me at the same time.

my car keeps changin' its mind.I have had a kenne bell chip in for about a month now and hev gottena little knock(2-4) at times.well today I get a 7.7 coming outta second.my o2's were 840 and no lights on the knock gauge.what gives?I mean I will get a couple of green lights when I am pulling 2-4 knock on acceleration.What degrees or severity of knock are represented by the led lights?I don't get it,my bl are 138 my o2's are 800 and my boost is only15- 16 and I am getting 4 or more degrees of knock

I noticed when I start my car I get a reading of 2.1 on the scanmaster and the 2nd. yellow light comes on, on the knock gage. There must be some kind of reference between them?
