What does everyone think of the scanmaster ? Also what does it display and how useful is this. I am contemplating buying one of these and just want feedback. Does the scanmaster also display error codes ??

Wouldn't be caught dead without it....

One of the best things you can add to your car. It shows the O2 millivolts and KR continuously, plus will record the lowest O2 and the highest KR when you make a "run"...and show you at what mph they happened at.

You can file through all the data coming from the ALDL port which means TPS Volts, MAF gps, inlet air temp, coolant temp, BLM's, INT's, IAC#, O2 cross counts, etc.

The last option on mine is for Malfunction Codes. I have the Scanmaster II.

Can you have the Scanmaster on all the time or is it just for periodotic checks without "burning" it out? Thanks Drew

Thank you for the reply. I have it wired in as ssuch. The last reading , NAL or MAL, what is that? Mine stays at zero no matter what speed or idle. Thank you again. (I got this SM second hand, that's why the questions. Yes I have the link for the directions) drew

That is malfunction codes. I believe you're okay if it's at 00.

When that dreaded service engine soon yellow light on the dash comes on it will store the codes and you can display them with the Scanmaster.
