hello people; I went to the search area of the site and there's a (show threads) and a (show posts) you can click on. What's the difference?

Well, a post is the individual place where you or another member expresses their comment. The thread is a group of posts on that topic. If you chose the thread option you must search down through the thread to find the term you searched for I believe.
