Unfortunately when the job goes, so do the toys. I may have to sell my 87gn if I can't find work by the end of the year. So, my question to the board is this: should I keep the stock paint? it is crappy, has the usual stress marks, and the cars has a few door dings. I can't afford an $8k paint job, so the best I could do is have a Miracle or Best paint job done, or perhaps have a school do it. I know it would turn out 'ok'. Is it more likely to sell with the $1k paint job or not? The rest of the car is in really good shape.

thanks

Personally I would rather buy a car that had original paint than one that had "new" paint but was less than the quality I desired. Then once I bought it I could plan on having it painted the way I wanted it. Also, it's easier to see some of the car's history if you buy it original rather than having everything covered up.

Just my thoughts.

save the cash and let it go a little lower in price and let the buyer decide how they want it painted. jmho
