Sensor CLNT Temp

If I'm not mistaken this sits on left hand side of coolant housing, if your facing the front of the vehicle. What is it for and what should be connected to it? I know on the opposite side is the CTS with bacl and yellow wires connected to it.

I assume you're meaning the sensor that has only one wire to it right? Then it is the idiot light sending unit.... That's the sensor to replace when you get an aftermarket electronic temp gauge.
