sensor to trans question

i recently had my 2004r rebuilt and i put in a non lock up convertor. the trans guy did set the trans up so it would work with the non lock up. im wondering if i still put the sensor into the side of the trans. the trans guy said i should keep it off but someone else said i should connect it. any help is appreciated. thanks.

Doesn't matter

However if you do the computer will see the fourth and third gear switches and remove the oring off the tcc if not removed already.
