Shifter vibration or clicking

Weird, buddies car has a shifter than kinda buzzes or vibrates. Tranny works but my car doesn't do this. Ideas?

if you pull the tv cable all the way out with a vise grip while driving does it do it?

Pull it out all the way towards the firewall or radiator?

pull the cord out to the radiator

We didn't drive it. Just pull out the TV cable while it was idling in the driveway. Still has the vibrating feeling in the handle or like a clicking. Another thing I noticed is when manually putting into 3rd or even 2nd when going down a hill, the engine doesn't slow us down. Feels like it goes to idle.

Well..

The no decompression issue is in the Overrun clutch. Just like what you blew up , Ed.
As for the shifter vibrating, I want to see this one. I think Ralph mentioned this the other day. Get in touch with me Ed and I got some questions. You know how.
