What should I do???? Car's o2's are ranging from 890 at take off, down to 830 at the top of 3rd gear with boost set @ 24, fuel pressure is 39 line off, running the SMC alchy single nozzle kit w/ turn point @ 14,pump speed @ 7. I'm getting 0 knock. See below for my mods.Would like to lean it out some, but how much boost is too much, and how low can I really go w/ fuel pressure? Would 37 or 38 be out of the ordinary? Car feels pretty good, but I believe it can go faster.

PS: I'm also running around a 80/20 mix of denatured & water in the alchy kit. Would going to a 50/50 mix lower 02's?

1st, are you running race fuel when you are boosting 24 lbs? Unless you are, I would not push up the boost if I were you! 24 psi sounds high for what you have down so far if you are running 93 fuel. If you are running 93 I would drop the fuel pressure. You can go down to 37 psi, but start with 38 psi and then go down to 37 psi if your O2s are still too high. I don’t know much about the programming of that chip, but your duty cycle could be why you are in the 30s in fuel pressure. Just to let you know, on the street I’m running 19 / 20 lbs of boost w/ 38 lbs of fuel. Not sure if that helps.

I haven't tested mine out yet :( but 24 psi is ok with alky from what I have seen on this board. I would say turn the boost up just a little but WATCH for knock and lean O2 numbers.

What else is in your combo? FP? Inj? Etc?

PS

Where in Silver Spring are you V8killer?

Oh SH_T, did not see the alky part, sorry. Don't know much about alky, so go w/ what CARZI said.

PS I'm off of RT 97, just out side of 495.

At 24 psi you really should be using an egt. It's a matter of being safe at that amount of boost.

Steve, of SMC, recomends a 70-30 mix. I would try that first. From personal experience, and from reading in the alchy section, I have yet to find anyone running a 50-50 mix with his kit. If they are, they are prolly loosing power. Been there, done that.

Once you have a 70-30 mix in, then go for another pound of boost. A 23 degree chip should have no problem digesting that mix..

This is when I would lean out by lowwering the FP. 3-4 pounds, (in 1 pound increments) should be fine. Of course you should be at the track to see any power gains.
