I just got my tranny rebuilt last week by Art Carr's shop. It seems to be slipping under full boost in 2nd and 3rd. I have a new lockup 3200rpm converter. If I am driving in 2nd at about 3500rpm and gun it, the rpms will jump to 4500rpm and hang there until my speed catches up. Same thing in Drive.
Also when I take off from a start in drive, when it shifts into 2nd, the rpms only drop to about 4000 and hangs there until my speed picks up.
I'm going to take the car in today, but what are your opinions? Could the torque converter be slipping? Or you think the tranny is slipping?
