I installed my dual nozzle kit last night. I went for a few blasts and here's what I got:

Boost bumped up to 19-20#, Thrasher 92, pump on low setting, 0 - 1 KR. Basically I'm trying to tickle the knock, use as little alky as possible. At this setting, the butt dyno can't tell if the car is faster, but I can feel a "slight" surge, and I mean "slight". Is this normal?

I plan to put in my RED 93 and hit the track tomorrow and attempt similar settings. I want to see if I can get any gain here, then move forward possibly with a Thrasher 100. Baby steps.

I am mainly concerned about the surge. Am I just pissing in the wind running the T92?
 
When does the "surge" occur?

What is your turn on point? pump speed?

One thing you need to do is use a higher pump speed for better atomization. With a T-92 your turn on point should be high, like 15psi. Anything lower and it will bog

Get some timing for the car man!!!
Stock combo likes timing. My T-100 pulls like a raped ape to 120+ mph. The RA93 WILL work better than that T-92, since it has 20º timing.

You are set real conservative now, with room for more timing and more boost. Dont be afraid to use too much alcohol, thats what it is for!:D

I don't even feel it come on. I don't like the T92 fast spool because of spike, and the alky seems to help there. It still beaks the tires loose on spool up, so the turn-on point is not an issue for me. Besides, it all happens so fast, I can't accurately see when it comes on.

The surge is at WOT, full belt. I have the pump speed at 3, but didn't turn it up as I felt that the surge was because if too much alky.

Yes, a T-100 is in the near future. Does it have the same daily-driving characteristics as T-92? What I'm saying is this: Other than WOT, is it basically the same as T-92? Other than the fast spool, I love the daily characteristics of the T-92.
 
I have my turn on point set at about 14psi, and pump speed on full(single nozzle) and have no surge unless my boost is lower than 19psi. I usually run 21psi all the time with the Thrasher 100. Good times............
 
T-100 is great for daily driving, I have mine set to come on at 13psi, pump speed 10, and .036 jet (not SMC). I would recommend a Power Plate for anyone running higher timing on pump gas to control transitional knock when you stap the gas

My opinion is that the car was surging because the T-92 does not have enough timing to battle the rush of alky. What were your O2 readings when it surged?

I would order a 100 chip, and in the meantime put in the RA93. It has more timing than the Thrasher, and will give better top end pull. Also I would turn up the pump speed and boost to about 21psi

My car runs 22psi in 1st and 2nd, and 20 psi in third with the Thrasher. I tried my T-108, but it had too much transitional knock for me
 
Get some real timing. Here is how I tuned my alky the first day. I turned the boost to 21lbs, mm93 chip, turned the alky all the way up. It was a total pig. Stuck the MM108 chip in, went for a blast, woooohoooo, this is what I'm talking about. Went for a few more blasts while dialing up and down the boost (MMboost commander). After about 5 WOT blasts I had the dial on 9.5, turn on around 13, boost at 22lbs, and a MM108 chip. This is with a stock setup only real mod was THDP and the basics.
 
I run a Thrasher 92 and don't have any surge. I run 22-23# with mine. I run my pump speed between 8-9 and run 100% denatured also. I get 0 knock.

Call me conservative but I like lower timing. I've been as high as 119.7mph before, so it must be doing something good :D
 
what is smc? i am new to the turbo buick world. is it like the atr 7th injector? what site to learn about the setup? who sells? thanks

BTW, I ran a RA93 chip and it ran like a champ! No surge at all, just a little turn-on hesitation. I didn't get it dialed in good because there were too many people there and I only made 4 runs. I maxed out my adjustable wastegate rod at ~22 lbs.

I've been trying to get a T100 since monday but nobody replies to my emails. Anybody know what the deal is here?
