I was wondering if anybody had run anything other than alcohol and water in their injection systems? I'm thinking specifically of higher octane fuels like toluene, or xylene with some water.

Toluene and xylene will not mix with water, so you will have two separate liquids. Also you will lose the extra benefit of water's cooling properties, and you will destroy the pump in short order. Thats why we never put more than a 1:4 xylene/gas ratio in the fuel tank.

With what you are suggesting, injecting straight C16 would have the same octane, but there would not be enough of it to cool the charge properly

Thanks for the encouragement. I know the Buick croud is cool. I've been lurking off and on for about 5 years learning what I can. Just within the last couple of years I've finally been able to use some of the information, and what a blast.

ive ran methanol. kind of the same thing though.
