allright guys here is my problem i will be driving the car normal without getting on the gas for a bit and i will be going like lets say 45 mph and abruptly let off the gas and cruise at idle the car starts letting out a bluish gray smoke... i noticed that if the car was in park and if i reved the engine really high the car would also blow out this smoke but not as i am reving it only on decelaration of the rev.
i got under the car and had my friend rev the motor the smoke when it comes out looks to be almost black but then comes out the same bluish gray color......whats the deal with this.....

the car only does this smoke thing off of decelaration... also when i come to stop at a light a big whoosh of this smoke will usually pass me and then stop if i give it a little gas then it will below out again very light on decelaration.....

i do not think this could be from my valve stem seals....would it not do it continually the car is burning very little oil and very little.....my friend also told me that it can be the inner seal on the turbo...
p.s. if the car was to stay idling for like 5 mins then it would start to smoke..gray but if you step in the smoke all you smell is pure gas.....GAS....

i am running a 1990 atr stock injector chip i think this is part of my problem.. my thrasher is coming this week.....

anybody have any feedback on this....

Damn, I hate it when my smoke passes me. That will only indicate that my car is really slow. :p :p

hehe. "I got smoked by my own smoke the other day". lol

:p :p :p

No but seriously, if it's not the chip, my guess would be the seals on the turbo are done. Remember that the car was sitting alot and has NEVER seen the abuse that you started to give it. It didn't smoke like that when you first bought it.

Take it to MIC and have Mike look at it for you. He only charges $300 to rebuild the hole thing. While it's off, you can go ahead and polish the inlet and the exhaust elbow. Then you'll be flying.
Later.
