OK I listed an Acer laptop on Ebay today, bid starting at $400, if it ends at $401 id be happy.
Anyway I get this email from someone in Italy who wants to paypal me $1850 for this thing...lol Remember I have it listed for $400 starting.

This person has 5 or 6 positive feedbacks...do ya think they been hacked er just lost their marbles?

Once again they want to paypal the money....hmmmm
what gives...I dont understand this one...

I guess I jumped here a little soon, Found out how they do the Paypal scamola.

they can send the money then retract it via CC stop or send fake paypal email telling me the moneys in...lol.... or they just try and get an email address to spam me more.

Maybe I should let them send me the money...pull it out quick and send them an empty box...or a box with onions in it..lol

It was really the paypal option that had me scratching my head.

The Other Scam To Italy Is There Is No Way To Track A Packages Through Usps In Italy. My Friend Sent Something There, They Said They Never Got It , And Pay Pal Gave The Guy His $ Back. My Friend Sold The Item For 267.00 Stick With U.s Sales Only!!

Account hijacks are usually with 300+ feedbacks. I reported a serious ebay compromise to ISC who in turn relayed the information to ebay's sec team. It was from users who fell for the old ebay emails or paypay emails. The auction items appear legit unit they show up on the soonest ending pages. The kids would then change the code to bypass ALL code on ebay's servers and have you login again...you can guess where that information went. The scary part is all the urls still were on ebay servers. You didn't have to get the emails to have your information stolen, you just had to view the auction from their web site.

I never ship beyond the 48.

There's a couple sites dedicated to scamming these scammers. You don't really scam them out of any money for your profit, but you essentially cost them thousands of dollars in shipping costs by sending them big heavy boxes of junk.

I'll see if I can find the link.

its still a nice laptop...would be great for the car best offer over 400
