sporadic no start

98 gtp won't start sometimes. Turn the key and it doesn't do anything. I have all power but won't turn over. My mechanic says ignition switch but since it doesn't do it all of the time, he doesn't want to throw parts at it and not fix the problem. Any experiences or ideas are appreciated. Thanks, Tim

it sounds like an ignition switch....

just pull it out and open it up. more than likely the contacts have carbon built up on them. clean them up and you should be good as new...
