Here is my other post:

So, could my MAF cause my stalling right away when I start the car? I am not getting any codes for the MAF sensor:confused: But, once she is unpluged she runs decent......still has a high idle issue. Probably needs to warm up and down idle.....I just dont give it the chance. I am sure I need to adjust my IAC and TPS yet too.
If it is my MAF is the NAPA replacement one with a year warranty a decent deal at 81 bucks?? I dont have money to upgrade to a LS1 right now.

Oh ya my belts are making a horrible noise......not squeling but sure as hell not normal.....I adjusted them and even tried some belt spray stuff?

TIA, Nick

You can try the tap test but even if it passes the MAF could still be bad. Make sure there are no leaks somewhere between the MAF and intake. What does you MAF read at idle? It's nice to have a chip like the Max Effort when running a non-Delco MAF. My aftermarket sensor would only read to 251gm/sec even though it hit that point starting at 9psi boost. You can set that chip for a MAF that won't read 255.

It looks like I am just going to have to dump 80 bucks on a new MAF and hope it is it. I cant find any leaks anywhere, so everything points to the MAF. A bad MAF seems really hard to pin point, so I will just have to take my chances with a new one.

Thanks, Nick
