I just put a new fuel pump and Sending unit in my car. Everything was installed accordingly without issue.
when the car reaches 1/4 tank it stalls out. It has done this a few times. I keep panicking and driving right to the gas station and filling it back up. I may put a full gas can in the car and wait to see what happens. Actually I just realized as i'm writing this that I have a Aux Fuel pressure guage I can connect to the rail and see where it's at when I start it back up.

Any thoughts?

When you fill it up do you watch for the total amount??
If it is close to the tank capacity...you need to adjust your float.
If not...you need to verify your pickup location.

I assume we are talking a buick tubo car. Did you buy the correct sending unit? Analog dash uses a different sending unit than a digital dash.

It is a racetronix sending unit brand new for TB and an aeromotive stealth pump.

I havn't actually filled the car all the way up after it stalls at the 1/4 mark. I usually put $20 in and it goes to 1/2 tank. Than no stalling until it hits 1/4 again.

I guess i'll fill the tank and see where it goes and watch the gallons. How many gallons does the factory T-type tank hold?

18.

I installed a new tank and pump and with a brand new empty tank I put 5 gallons in and the gauge read just below 1/4, which is what it should read since it holds 18 Gal.
When it shuts off, fill it to the top and calibrate the gauge.... Put 8 Gals in and it should be 1/2 tank etc.....if not, then where ever the gauge reads, that's your 1/2 tank !!!!
I had a 57 chevy that read just below 1/2, and if I wasn't close to a gas station, I'd run out...so when that sucker was at 1/2 tank, I needed fuel bad ! As long as the readings are consistent, you'll be able to figure out what's goin on....

i had this same issue happen yesterday, car died at about 1/8 tank...filled it all the way up and it only reads 7/8 full....its like the read window has shortened. is there a fix for this ? maybe the plug not making good connection ?

First off I want to know where $20 fills your tank up halfway. :)

Read from the begining. I am at 1/4 and putting $20 in. It goes to 1/2.
So whether or not the guage is working I am getting a 1/4 tank.

Grey Racer, I am going to look into what your saying. That may help.
Thanks
