I noticed that this has not been posted for 3 years.Soooo.... I like to go to Maxton to watch land speed racing. Its like going back to the late 50s and 60 drags (sort of). Its really a neat thing to go and watch. Cars/Trucks/X-Nascar/ Motorcycles and Laksters often run over 200MPH on an old WWII airstrip. Check it out at EAST COAST TIMING ASSOSIATION. or ECTA. Next Meet is middle of may.. Suggest you take sun protection, glasses, a hat, and a good chair, and cold sodas/water/(beer if you want), and some food. Its really cool seeing all the HEMI cars with large roots superchargers sticking out of the hoods. HOT ROD MAG does a shoot/competion there 1st meet of every year. :biggrin:
