Just completed assembly on my 109 rebuild:
Right now I can Idenitfy two problems. Valvetrain noise (Rattling in valve covers)
-Hyd roller cam
-gn1 heads
-T70 Turbo
-83 injectors
-extender chip
-Translator +

And the car stumbles on it's face when given gas... pops through the exhaust at open throttle.

Car will idle fine. TPS is set at .44 idle wot is also within guidelines. Intially car was dumping fuel, because the dip switches on Translator being incorrect... Black smoke.. fouled plugs.

Could the adjustment be off? Would the car drive that bad... This is my first motor... I'm going to pull the covers and check the lash this weekend.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks

Cam sensor 180* out?

180* out

I can recheck it.. however, I thought I followed the directions carefully... but, like I said it was my first time.

the way it sputters and pops... If it was a carbed motor - I would definetly think I was 180* out on the dizzy.

180* out

Any other Ideas?

I'm hearing that if the cam position sensor is off... that the car would not start once stopped..??

The car turns right over.. It just runs like sh$t.. lol

Still Rich... Not building boost

Thanks for those who gave suggestions....

I reset the cam sensor and valves. That resolved poping/ sputtering and the taping from within the valve covers.

But, now it will not build boost . The car idles fine... but when given gas it falls on its face under load. It seems the the 83's are dumping to much fuel. I have the fuel pressure set at 45#s.

Any suggestions?
