Starting off in second gear

When i start my car and drive it starts off in first gear and shifts fine. After a few traffic lights when i come to a stop and start again it's taking off in second gear. I can manually shift from first and shift thru the gears with no problem. Why would it start off in second gear? just had a rebuild.

Intermediate band to tight, and if so your gonna burn it up,ask the builder how they set it up.

If mainline pressure is on the border line of 150 at idle cold and as soon as fluid reaches temp it drops below 140 , This is the exact symptom it would have. Worth a pressure ck.

Took the car back to the tranny guy today. He re-adjusted the TV cable and it works fine. Starts off in 1st everytime now. Glad it wasn't something where i had to yank the tranny out. Just thought i'd let you guys know. thanks
