need help i got the same setup on my brothers car nd i swapped his edelbrock carb on my motor nd timing set the same way car is cranling nd its almost startsup but it doesnt what can cause this/????

You need fuel, compression, and spark at the correct time. If it ran before the carb swap, no fuel? If the distributor was out, timing is wrong? Check for spark? Pull # 1 plug and crank the engine to get it on the compression stroke. Turn the crank until the timing mark is around 16 degrees. Make sure the rotor points to # 1 wire on the cap. Is the carb swap the only change you made?

Yea only carb nd I think its low fuel cause it didn't have much

See if the accelerator pump squirters have any fuel coming out when you pump the throttle. If not, the float bowl is not filling up. If it's really low on fuel, that is probably the problem.
