I tested the cam sensor(good), crank sensor(good, will an improperly adjusted sensor cause no spark, if so what increment should I adjust to?), I don't know for sure if the coilpack is good, nor do I know if the module is good. What should I do? I am thinking about just buying the 86 setup, but that won't be for a while and I need the car done now. I wish I had an operating camera(working on it) so I could take a few pictures of what I am working with and post them. I was talking to a guy who owns a Grand National, he said the 85 didn't come with posi-trac rearend. True or false? If true then I must have an aftermarket posi because it has a set of two badly mangled drag radials, perfectly even wear. Along with brand new silicone throughout the engine. I have the funny feeling this car might be a 12 second car, I think it has a crazy bore, but who knows, I don't because I can't get it to RUNNNN! Anyone have an idea of what I should replace is the sensors are good? The "adapter" required NOOOO splicing, so is this really an adapter? Where can I get a new and/or operating harness and ingnition system for this car for CHEAP! Anything over 500 bucks is not worth it because thats 1/3 the way to the 86 setup and that sounds sexier to me. Lol. Thanks guys. I will be posting another thread WITH pics.

Are you just not having any spark, or what else is the car doing? Also 85's could come with a posi as mine and many others have them, so obviousley that other GN owner doenst know too much about these cars if hes saying that. Check your trunk ID label for the code G80 as that is the factory installed posi. Dont worry you will get good help on this board, just make sure to post all that you know about your problem to help us diagnose.

"Adapter" on what??
Maybe check the fuses?
Maybe, B4 you start jerking harnesses, igns out, you find the real problem?
I'd suggest you get with someone that has TR experience, and see if the problem are just simple things, that don't require throwing $$ at it.
Does the fuel system pressure up w/ key on? should run for a few secs, then shut off.
Do the plugs fire?
Here's a good place to start w/ the t/shooting.

What part of NC are you in? I would find a fuel pressure gauge($30-$40), noid light from parts store for the injectors ($8-$10 cheap), some kind of inline spark tool from parts store ($5-$8 cheap). A cam sensor tool would be nice but not necessary. A digital volt meter will work fine. This is stuff you will need anyway. I would disconnect the Module and look at both ends of the connector. Make sure the metal connectors aren't loose or comming up short. I would check the fuses as well because it's easy. Post with what you find and I'm sure we can get it running. Post a few pics when you can.
