I am a faithful watcher of Around the Horn on ESPN, and although I hardly agree with guests on the show, I really like the format and the hosts ability to mute the guests at times. That being said, all 4 of the guests still wont give any credit for the big win yesterday. All 4 guests also ripped Grossman? He simply did what he had to do, and won the game with a limited number of throws. Im starting to think that even if he beats the Colts in 2 weeks, He and the Bears wont be recognized as the Best team in football. At least I know my team will get a lil love when Pardon the Interruption airs right after the Bear haters.

Brer......

So What! Our Bears are in the big game! 80% of the no respect comes from the fact all of the game did not turn out the way the "booyahs" said it would. I did here Sean Salisbury say he was dead wrong last night on Sports Center. At least he can admit it.

BEAR DOWN!

Oh, how about that 88 yard play by the saints to bush. Urlacher was actually keeping stride! Note to NFL: HE'S A LINEBACKER!!!!!! Man that guy can fly!!!!
I did hear that Bush apologized to his coach for the little taunt and dance. Looked stupid to me since they were not winning. I remember a quote from some coach somewhere: "When you get to the endzone, act like you have been there before!"

More players (not just bush) should listen to that!

Da Bears!

If the Bears defense can manage to break Manning's legs, arms, neck whatever, I'll be a fan!

I think its just because the bears had a cakewalk schedule and the fact that rex grossman sucks balls. I dont understand how he can for example have a game like he did against the cards but they still win. He is going to have to do actually have to perform against the colts for them to win.

Hey, didn't the future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning not throw any TD's in the Colts WIN vs the Raven's??

Defense, running game, turnover differencial and special teams are going to bring this one home for the Bears.

Chargers should have taken it this year

How do you figure they deserve the first pick in the draft? ;)
THAT belongs to the TEXANS! They have that sealed for the next 10 years!

How do you figure he sucks. This is his first complete year, and the second year with this particular offensive coord. Remember when Peyton, Favre and even Aikman started out, sucked balls. He is going to be a top quarterback, he has it all but the patience. He gets a little antsy and wants to throw for it all. You take what the defense gives you and win the game and make no mistakes, just like he did. As for an easy schedule, they had the Giants, Seahawks, NE(who beat em), and the Pack is never easy.

Irv...

Tony must be one of those few who still think Kyle Orton should be starting. Nothing against Kyle, he did a heck of a job last year (Nice Beard!)

Oh and the Chargers?????????? Should have, would have, could have....... Of course Chicago fans can relate to a team the chokes........

Again, Bears will never get respect because you will have plenty of people saying,, Chargers should have, Pats should have, Ravens should have Blah Blah Blah....

Bottom line is...

...Da Bears in the the Super Bowl and all the shoulda, coulda, and woulda's are not..Grossman is shakey, but the bears other weapons make up for it..If the Bears defense and running game show up, they will blow out the Colt's IMO..

The defense didnt show either, or the running game. They were outplayed everywhere cept the special teams. They wont get the respect they cry about til they all step up in the clutch. But im still a diehard fan and always will be. Da Bears are always my team.

Original thoughts are welcomed!

Anyone who watched the Bears all year long would know that the game plan handcuffed the play on the field. Grossman was not to blame. After they were up 7-0, they had a chance to go down the field and score again but the conservative play calling caused a punt. I dont blame Rex for forcing passes in a do or die situation. The chance of interception when the defense knows u have to throw is always greater. Also both of those interceptions could have been knocked down by the receivers. Bear fans can only hope that Dallas takes Ron Rivera a way from us because Im tired of his bend dont break defense. U have to pressure the opposing quarter back, and also Im tired of looking at Chris Harris blow assignments at the worst of times. Ill bet he wont be on the field next year.

A lot of people are bashing Rex... yea he made some mistakes. He is also a new QB! How QB's out there won the superbowl their first full season? I think he will get better as he gets older (and wiser).

I just dont think the Bears can win with Rex, they have the defense the running game and special teams but when it comes down to it when hes on the field he hurts them. Those two throws he had when he just threw the ball straight into the air for a pick were horrendous. If I was them I would give him one more and if its like this one I would start shopping.
