Since my current project car is a restoration, I am looking at purchasing a stock appearing exhaust system. Has anyone used the Walker replacement exhaust system? I was wondering how well people liked them and how well they hold up. Does anyone know of another stock appearing exhaust system being made for the 86-87 cars besides the Walker system? I know Gardner Exhaust used to make the best stock appearing system but no longer does. I spoke to them today and was told if they started making them again the cost would be around $1,100.00. And that is for an aluminized exhaust, not stainless.

hello people; Just a thought that if you have a problem finding what you want go with the RJC with the cross flow looking muff. and ruf up the SS to look alum.

When you refer to "stock appearing exhaust" Are you talking about the entire exhaust? I have 3"DP, no cat and 3" all the way back. Had the tailpipes angle cut to look like "stock" GN tailpipes.

Stock appearing to me would be just like the factory made them. 2 1/4" pipes. Non mandrel bends and a transverse mounted muffler. No clamps. All connections were welded. The tailpipes would be partially cropped on the ends, not completely angle cut like alot of exhaust systems I have seen. The tailpipes were also painted black from the factory. It's no wonder the exhaust system was one of the first performance modifications done to these cars back when they were new.
