I have replaced my timing chain twice in the past. I think the detonation really streches them out. So what can take the abuse better. What is everyone running. Both times I tore down my motor the chain was almost ready to fall off and that was with a new tensioner both times.

I am in the process of putting on a stock one from advance auto. Mainly because I want it in by this weekend so I can finally get it to the track. I was wandering the same thing but didn't want to wait to get a double roller. I thought my chain broke but the two bolts came out of the gear on the cam. It was an 86,000 mile storck motor.
Since it looks like you've done this a few times. What do I put for a gasket on the bottom of the cover? A cork one came with the kit. but it does't look like anything was on it before. Or do I just go with RTV?
thanks.
Mike

TA Performance also sells this piece--A few dollars more--not much --don/t know exactly.
This is the last one you will need to buy. Yes, it is going to stretch, but very little. I have the same one now for 5 years. after the initial stretch, that is all.
