Congratulations on your first win Steve. Once we put the 'ole girl on a diet, a 9 second pass will need to be added to your signature :)

Thanks Mike & Geoff:D

The event was great. Lot's of big blocks and Turbo Buicks (I heard over 200 racers but not sure). The BPG guys did a great job to put on a super event for everyone. The weather was great on Sat and Sun (Sucked on Friday but rain seems to follow Jim Haas wherever he is  ).

We qualified Sat night when the weather was great. I went 10.31@130.44 & 10.27@130.44 (as I was typing this I just realized there were identical MPH. It also had identical MPH of 105.89 in the 1/8th. too weird) These was better than the previous best of 10.34. The pickup was due to my good friend Jack Cotton sticking on one of his FMICs on the car in place of my CAS. The car went .07 faster with a pound or 2 less boost. If it wasn't for Jack finally convincing me to put F.A.S.T. on the car and his years of education and support I wouldn't be anywhere near this quick.

I am sure Scott will post everyone but Scott Claridge was #1 with a 10.20. Dave England was #2 with a 10.23 and I was #3 with a 10.27. So 7 hundreds of a second covered the top 3. With everyone so close, staging and spoolup would be critical and I was able to do both well enough to make it through to the end. I cut a .548 light in final against Dave's -.250 or so. :D

I met a lot of new friends, got to see old friends and have to say when it comes to sportsmanship and camaraderie, the Buick guys are by far the best.
