Sureflow part # and nozzle to use?

Hey guys,

Well instead of going the expensive route and buying a kit, I plan to just buy a new pump for my DIY alky kit and do whatever I can to make the kit work as well as possible. So what's the pump part # everyone uses for their DIY kits? What about the higher pressure switch, and a good nozzle to use? Right now the nozzle i have is supposed to be one of those mister nozzles that they use at amusement parks. I've got everything else I need, arming switch inside the cab, hobbs pressure switch to activate pump after it reaches certain boost amount, and five point solenoid for everything to run through. Let me know

OK i here we go, what i have seen being used on the DIY kit and what i will be using on mine is the N.O.S. fogger fan spray nozzle it is $14.99 and the part # is "741-13500". the N.O.S. jet to go in it is $7.99 and if i'm not mistaken the the correct jet size you specify when ordering is jet size 32 but you may have to experiment to get the tuning for your setup right , the part # for that product is "741-13750" you can get all this directly from jegs in the mail their number to order it is "1-800-345-4545". the Surfo pump you need you can get from Norther tool and equipment Co. it is a 60 Psi and up to 1.8 GPM, the AD reads "Mounts in any position,12 volt pump has demand switch. Vilton valves and santoprene diaphragm to resist corrosion. Fully repairable pump body. 3/8" female ports. Ship. Wt. 5 Ibs. it costs $64.99 the part # is "2687-2404" and the number to order that pump is "1-800-556-7885" ,you can also visit them at www.northentool.com

now what i need from you is to find that stupid pressure switch ive been lookning fof for so long that is supposed to turn the pump on at 15 Psi, were do you get it? and what is the part number? and how much is is?

I dont like the NOS style nozzle. Its really designed for a gas not a fluid, not that it wont work.. just that when temps drop, and you need a little help on atomizing.. a mist nozzle works better. And instead of changing jets, you vary pump pressure by adjusting it at the pump.

There are some pressure switches on Ebay if you choose that route. I personally dont like Hobbs or any other non-automotive style switch due to oil vapor in lines which can influence its operation. The other is dead band issue with Hobbs switches, whereby it turns on at lets say 10 PSI but then doesnt switch off unless the car is under 6-7 PSI. And they all vary on this.

Reason one does alcohol typically is to run higher boost, if the switch fails... you'll run the risk of engine damage. If you do the switch route, mount it as far away from the engine so heat, vibration, oil, etc doesnt affect it.

This is just my viewpoint, in a technical forum.
