ok I am currently thinking of upgrading my suspension

I ordered the front moog springs since mine have began to sag
and the back I was thinking of ordering kirbans variable rate springs

this car is a daily driver, however I do go to the track as often as I can and I do a little of street racing

what can I do to improve my suspension performance to better my track times but not mess up my daily driver or make lots of noises while I drive?

I know I want to get air bags
I was also thinking of hrpartsnstuff lower control arms

anything to help with handling and stiffer suspension?

thanks guys

Carl

Many of the guys on the board are going with the Moog 5660 front springs which are stiffer than the stock springs. Stiffer springs will make the car handle better but ride rougher. For drag racing you want a shock and spring setup in the front that allows the front end to come up easily so the weight can transfer to the back wheels. Many race cars use a 90/10 drag shock to transfer weight but IMO I don't think 90/10s are good for the street.

If your front suspension is sagging then I'd bet a front end kit is needed. PST sells a factory replacement rubber kit for $150 and a polygraphite kit for $250. As far as shocks go alot of the guys like Bilsteins for the street. They run $53 a piece from Autozone last time I checked.

Lower control arms are a good idea.

Here is what will be done to my car this winter:

Lower control arms with urethane greasable fittings for rear
Have new moog variable rate coils already on for the back
Bilstein shocks all the way around (already on back)
Moog 5606 front springs (stock replacement)
Front end kit from PST. Haven't decided on rubber or polygraphite
Probably a new front center link
Air bag passenger side rear (already on)
New body mounts (already on except for front two)

IMO the setup that will be on my car will be a little better than stock because of the Bilsteins. If I decide to go with the polygraphite kit the car will handle even better but agian will ride rougher.
