I'm running turbolink 2.13 and today while my buick was warming up I noticed that it would alternate between open and closed loop. This was after it had reached normal opperating temp. Ive had this setup for a year and a half and never seen this before. Also O2 crosscounts at idol were only showing 0 to 7 per second, does this indicate the need to replace O2 sensor? This is a heated sensor, about a year old and no leaded fuel.

That does sound like maybe a lazy O2 sensor. If it isn't seeing enough cross counts, it can delay (or alternate) closed loop.

Depending on what is in your chip, it could also be something in the way the closed loop algorithm has been modified. Maybe the coolant temp is right on the "edge"?

Thanks for the reply Ken, I have a Jay Carter variable boost chip for 91 octane fuel ( no decent fuel in my area). The temp is reading 170 deg on T-link and on VDO temp gauge. Its also running very rich at idol, BLM's 90-95 in park and 105 in gear not moving. Do you think O2 sensor could be causing this also?Fuel pressure is set at 43, line off and WOT BLM's 800-820. I think I will go back to the stock style single wire O2 sensor. Thanks for a great tool Ken.

Sure sounds like the O2 sensor is a likely suspect.

If that doesn't fix it, I'd start to suspect a MAF (does it pass the tap test?)

MAF passed tap test last time I tried but it is the original unit and I have been thinking of replacing it . Thanks for the help Ken
