TA-49 vrs TE-51

Is there any real performance difference between these turbos? I currently have a TA-49 and I am thinking about a new cam and turbo. I have ran a TE-51 from Mike Litch and one of his 210/205 cams before and really liked it. Is a cam enough with the TA-49 or will a different turbo respond to a cam better? So suggestions on cams might help also. I drive this car alot so I try to keep it managable

Why bother with the cam? Unless its bad, they can be ran down into the 10s. There is a little performance to be gained going from a 49 to a 51, but I don't think the cost would justify it. If you don't have alky injection spend your money on that and turn the boost up to 24 lbs and have fun!!
