Tach Wire on Hot Air?

Can anyone tell me where the wire for the tach hookup is? I am installing a set of Dakota Digital gauges and this is one of the final wires I have left. I have seen where it is on the intercooled GN's (green wire by the power steering) but can seem to find it on my 85.

I believe it is in this area



Although I have a bar there, I just recently had all of that off and saw an extra connector. I think there are two connectors?

One is for fuel pump test and in the service manual is said to be taped to engine harness in front of LH header.

The lower right hand corner shows the fuel prime connector probably under the MAF




If you cant find one there is always the option of getting it from the module





Looks like pin D is a white wire for the tach signal for the bogus dash gauge.

I believe the tach wire runs through connector c100 which is the huge bulkhead below the wiper motor. Here is a diagram of the connector showing you where the tach wire is on the bulkhead.

Anyways I will look tomorrow for just a tach lead extra in the harness.

Looked at a spare harness

The first plug I saw was at the junction where the maf wire and charcoal canister came out of the harness. I think this plug is the fuel prime connector as described above.



The second plug which has two wires going into the connector is at the junction where the ignition module comes out.



And the third plug comes out of the harness where the alternator pigtail and coolant temp sensor wire.
