Any ideas on why the target table numbers don't match the number on the dashboard? The dash reads 7.4 at idle but the table starts at 13.5 and goes to 11.5.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

What system are you using?

Are you in closed-loop?

Have you set your VE values? Is your injector flow rate set correctly? Engine size?

What is your VE value at idle?

Your idle is probably in open loop. This means your FAST doesnt read o2 and make corrections... it just reads off the fuel table.

Go to view-> closed loop parameters -> closed loop parameters.... You want your CL high RPM around 1500 and your low RPM arond 1300. This means your car will idle in OPEN LOOP.... which essentially you want to acheive.

Then, start the car, if its idling wayyyy rich, lower the VE where the green circle is on your VE table until it leans out to whatever your car likes. Pretty straight foward. Some Buicks like to idle in the "40-50" range, so start there. If its still too rich, lower the number.

Sorry, it's a fast XFI with 75lb inj. Went from 50lb inj. still using that program with the injector rate changed. VE at idle seems really high at starting at 55 and it's still reads 14.6-14.8. I'll check the closed loop settings tomorrow.

If everything is correct in the fuel calculations screen, then you need to adjust you injector opening time on the operational parameters screen. Diferent injectors open slower than others. This value can be adjusted to compensate for that.
