did the te44 come standard with the 270 thrust or the 360? I read on a few sites it came with a 360 but I took mine apart today and it has a 270???

My mistake, it does in fact have the 360. Which presents another problem, one of the allen screws did not want to come out and now has a stripped head. From the way it looks the turbo shelled out do to lack of oil changes. LOTS of gunky burnt oil. Since I'm getting a full rebuild kit, I should be able to just cut the head off that screw, pull the thrust off, and put vise grips on the screw and twist it out, right?

The way it looks there isn't much to rebuilding these turbos. I don't see what the big deal is now that I've started tearing it down.

It is easy. You should be able to remove the rest of the bolt with vice grips. Not all thrusts got bolted down, Limit turbos had this done. Most of the Precision stuff isn't bolted. I haven't taken apart a 360 Precision, so can't say for sure.

Hope you are sending it off to get balanced before assembling again.
