Can this be welded? What effect would this have on Boost and O2 readings?
Thanks - R.B.

Sure can be welded. Not much effect on boost or O2 unless you have a wideband down stream. But it may allow poisionous Carbon monoxide into the passenger compartment.

I see a wideband sticking out of the bottom of that pipe.

THERE COULDN'T POSSIBLY BE A WORSE PLACE TO PUT IT!!!!

Condensation will kill it in short order, if it hasen't already.

As for the crack, it looks like stress cracking due to mis alignment of the exhaust at the bottom of the pipe. The pipe is being pulled down hard.

Wow, never seen that before... I hope you are not driving it like that. Like mentioned above, can be dangerous. It can be fixed pretty easy, even if it is stainless. Find a good welder and have them hook it up. Find out why it broke too. Like Dave stated, maybe your exhaust is hanging on the down pipe and needs a support brace...?

The first place anything starts to rust is around the welds. Or if the weld is a little hot the metal can get a little brittle.

Stop drill & reweld then let it fly......
Oh, and while you are welding move that WB as stated above.
