I'm trying to find an aluminum master for my hydroboost, trying a couple out to see what will fit. Parts guy at the counter thought I had lost my mind. I started out just saying, look, here's the part number, its for a racecar and I want to see if it will fit, so let's not play the year-make-model-lookup-on-the-computer game.

"A racecar, with hydroboost? c'mon man, I used to test Chevy and Ford cars and I never had that problem where it won't fit, what's the part number on the original that came with the car?"

I was expecting the mere words "Grand National" would strike fear in their hearts and cause a set of Ford heads sitting in the back to spontaneously combust, but no, not even a story about my uncle's step sister in-law's boyfriend's first kid had a cousin with a friend down the street with one that had 800hp. I just gave up, after explaining from hours of online research that it's for a car like that 87 Grand National outside (but much faster) which has been converted to a 84/85 Grand National hydroboost but I want a modern looking aluminum master, even if its not as long lasting as the iron one. But this experiment has gone horribly wrong and I want my money back. I'm going to order an 81 El Dorado hydroboost master from rockauto to see if that fits, although it needs a different reservoir.

I would have gone over to a different place I always get my parts that the guys all know all about GN's but they don't have new masters, just reman cardone's.

I think I can safely wager some money on a race...

Speedway Motors

Google them--check out their brake section--I see one just liike my original cast one but in aluminum with a stainless piston.--$100 It also has a 1 in bore which equals higher line pressure.

I like the tandem wilwood, that might work. Currently using Cardone 10-1984 reman master and its leaking of course as I pull it to measure the opening... It needs a 3.4 inch bolt separation width and 1.5 inch dia center section to mate with the hydroboost.

Sorry this is more tech that I thought, I was just ranting/venting originally in my post. Thanks for the help though guys! How many days until Reynolds, yeah, it's always something...

I stumbled across this, might be exactly what I'm looking for if it fits:
