alright i haven't posted on this site in a extrodinarily long time, i had joined back in the day because my friend who's not so good with computers had gotten a 1987 GN and we wanted to start doing some reading up on it to set out a tweaking/mod plan.
recently i lost my own project car due to a driver cutting me off on a local freeway, i was running a 91 honda accord with JDM h22a1 prelude motor, some misc bolt on's, mild p&p, and a pretty elaborate nitrous setup, i was good for mid 12's, which as it would appear by some of the e/t's i've been reading in ya'lls sigs a rather slow time.
so when i was faced with the choice of repair or build myself another honda, i decided i'm kind of sick of it, there are too many kid's out now days giving that particular zone of tuning a bad name, too much immaturity, stupidity, and bad outside influences.
so i decided i'd try to lay hands on a G-body, i'm preferable to Grand Nationals, but the turbo regals seem to be able to hold there own as well, so i am making this thread now to ask you all, the buick tuning community, what are some things i need to watch out for when looking @ various g-bodys? what are important specific questions i need to have answered? what are some chronic problem areas of these cars? and what parts are most prone to failure? what is considered "high milage"? and lastly what is the average lifespan of a G-bodys motor under an assumed daily driven weekend raced conditions.
thanks in advance for any responses, i felt my way into the world of honda's blindly and it was a costly experience, i'd rather not do the same with a nostalgia car like the g-body, i wanna know what i'm talking about off the bat, and know what to look for. thanks again.
