Tick or rattle

Any ideas? Under light acceleration or if im sitting in gear and touch the gas a little bit I can hear a rattle or a tick. It almost sounds like when you shake a pcv valve but it is much louder. When I have someone sit in the and I walk arond or listen underneath the car I can't hear it. I can only hear it from the driver or passenger seat. If i'm next to a wall or another car the sound is amplified. I have had some people tell me it could be the torque converter, but i'm not so sure. It is a 3000 stall and it only has like 2500 miles on it. Any suggestions would help. Thanks

No the exhaust is pretty solid, i'm not running a cat. It's definately driving me crazy though.

but isnt there a metal cover attached to floor even w/cat removed?

O.k. I just climbed under the car, and everything around there is solid.

That was my rattle idea.For the tick it could be loose balancer,cam sensor or maybe lifter.I think youd hear lifter outside car also.Turbo cover hitting on down pipe?
