well they had it coming, don't get me wrong we have 2 imports and 3 domestic cars. prefer the imports for gas mileage and the others whenever we feel like it. i bet he feels like a fry under the heat lamp at mcdonalds. i was loving it when news said domestic car sales went up since the recall.

Aah, prease done maka me comi hari cari !!!

Thing I don't understand is that yesterday at breaktime, another guy sitting across the table with a different section of WSJ says, "hmm Toyota's stock went Up today!(?)" If that doesn't smack of market manipulation I don't know what does! FORD stock went straight into the toilet Immediately upon the Firestone issue and even these years later, and significantly only very recently, regained a Third of it's stock value!!!! The magnitude of their broadening recall issue's isn't even known yet. But it's significance should be obvious since the US Govt FORCED them to halt production! Yet they hold their stock value? WTF? The whole Thing is fishy, we're not getting the whole story here. Tell me ONE other instance where the govt has been forced to intervene and issue a cease production order!??!

I think I'd have to put a tin hat on to get deeper into this!:D

Toyota, Moving Forward! Even when you want to STOP!!!!

TOYOTA Turns Out You Oughta Trusted American

when you kill people caca pasa

we all know this, heck there were deaths in my area on christmas eve in a toyota. remember when the police cruisers would bust into flames when rear ended hard and they had to recall all those cars to make it right. there was 2 dallas cops who died like that. one rear ended the other spun out hit a telephone pole and burned to death. bad way to go and a peace officer at that. just thought i would deep into the old noggin and remember now let me get my finger outta my nose.

funny, especially since none of the Jap cars have the problem, just the North American ones. Looking at recall data over the last 20 years, the "Big Three" have each had 4 times the amount of recalls (minimum) than Toyota.

Consumers have a short memory and this too will soon be forgotten, except by those that may have suffered loses

They are looking into problems in Jap market cars also.

IF you carry statistics out to 20yrs, I agree you'll find that Toyota is a heavy favorite. You need to remember that mfg processes are constantly changing. Even within a single model year you could get a significantly different product per it's method of mfg while appearring the same. It's called continuous improvement, but that's not always it's effect. This latest Toyota recall is just one among a series that have previously been swept under the carpet. Looking at the past 5yrs of TGW's(things gone wrong), ownership survey's, and recall's, you'll see that Every other mfg'r (American's Included) has improved while Toyota is in a Serious downward trend. That's also shown in ownership loyalty number's. They show the old addage of "Fool me once..."

In a constantly evolving business, you really have to look at a mfg'rs trend number's. Toyota's suck...

It's called Kaizen. Toyota is one of the innovators of this process.

"Kaizen" is NOT continuous improvement Toyotaboy. It's a part of it. What a blast from the past! I haven't heard that term in 15yrs or so. Maybe that's part of their problem. They think they've figured it all out while everyone else improved on it! As the bad news cascades outward to their entire product line though, I'm starting to have another thought.

I'm beginning to wonder if these problems, though built to Toyota's specs(did I mention I hate that ONE company, for All my life?), aren't the result of nefarious action? Industrial espienage of a sort. Could this be an American/Chinese payback to the overall Japanese economy? Just for example, "Kaizen" was dropped first in name because of Japbashing before anything was added to it. The Chinese as all other Asian's, hate them. The Chinese now own us. The Indian's own the company in question in the pedal recall. I said before, this is very fishy. I didn't mean then, that this would erupt across their line-up. It goes deeper. We'll never know for sure, but in the mantra of 'follow the money' I'm guessing that it's less about Toyodor's goal of market domination and more about Japan being in line for the same economic destruction that America is about to face.

Wait until they try and trace down the emails about who did what. 90 days is all you get there. It's what most of the suppliers retain now. Pay a few lawyers and jsox consultants to say it's OK.
