Right now my external trans cooler is in series with the cooler in the radiator. Should it be this way or should it just go to the cooler? Which setup keeps the trans the coolest?
Thanks

I run mine first in series. I find the tranny doesn't shift into OD if it's too cold.
I sometimes drive in very cold weather & feel, if it's too cold, the radiator with the thermostat will heat it, conversly if still hot, it's cooler when it gets to the radiator.

That's a good point. In the winter there's probably not enough heat generated in the trans to keep it up to a good operation point.
