Hey guys, there is a bracket that bolts to the front PS corner of the oil pan that holds up the two transmission cooler lines. There is a loop on the other side of the bracket that looks like it would hold a large wire loom. Does anyone know what this is used for?

I think it is fo the larger wire that hooks to the back of the alt.
Huh? Why would the alternator wire go down to the transmission?

The alternator wire goes under the crank damper thru a plastic holder. It is definately not routed thru the bracket in question.
Does anyone know? Can someone look under there car at this and let me know.

sorry misread. Scott is your car currently running? Lonnie called today and said my motor could possibly be done next week :D

It's not used for anything...at least on my car...I've had my 87 GN since new and there's never been anything in that part of the clip...if you notice there's quite a few things on these cars that look like they are there for something but they aren't...like bolts with studs on the ends that nothing attaches to...

All I have to do is prime the oil pump and turn the key. Added a PTE Max Flow gadget (a.k.a. the Turbo Saver) and lost the prime. I do need to go visit Lonnie and pick up a F'glass bumper. Lonnie needs the $$ if he's going to race at Bristol (Morocco is out for him).
