Translator plus people please help

I just recieved my new updated chip and as I was taking the old one out I lost the position of the chip. I want to put the new one in but it can go two ways. Which is correct?

I just received an updated chip also for my version 5 translator, to update it to version 6.22. The chip on my translator went in with the notch on the chip facing the translator wires. HTH

The top of the chip contacts the cover....That contact leaves an imprint in the foam....I always checked tht it was installed to match the imprint

Mine did not have any foam. It has an instruction sheet on the inside cover. I was told to line up the notches from Mike.
