Anyone have a used translator plus for sale? I would like to switch from Direct Scan to this method of tuneing. Also can someone tell me if this is a wise decision and what gains will I have.
You should do some searching. The trans + enables you to use alternate mafs and adjust your timing and fuel to some extent. It doesn't do any data logging or give you any tuning information though. Basically DS and a trans + do two totally different things. HTH. james
You should have both if your planning to add the translator plus, reason being w/ the t+ you will be able to adjust your timing and fuel delivery, w/ the scantool you will know what changes it made i.e (knock retard, from running lean).
