Transmission rebuild

Just recently got my spare 2004r transmission for rebuild. Just out of curiosity, how do most of you work on this transmission. Wide open area on the floor, work table, or engine stand?

I was looking at putting the trannie on an engine stand but then began to think of how this would play into disassembly.

You want a clean work bench preferably. Cleanliness is the most important item when building a 200 4R. Keep your assemblies arranged in order and segmented so it is easier to know what you have used and what you haven't.
Keep it simple, keep it organized and you will be happier.

besides that get a copy of our 200 page manual and build it like a pro to our specs.step by step photos,complete rebuild,tech theory etc.
